Reading is a fundamental skill that is essential to our personal and professional growth. However, in today’s fast-paced world, people often find it challenging to make time for reading or stay focused while they read. Young adults and people with busy schedules need more personalized book recommendations so they can allocate time and enjoy reading material that suits their tastes.

Task Flows
From the information we gathered from our user research, we created 3 distinct tasks. These scenarios provided the basis for the next stages of the project.
User Journey Map
Our journey map walks through a scenario where Trevor begins a new book.
Wire Frames
Iterative adjustments were made to our sketches, leading to the final design for our prototyping phase.
Usability Tests
We had 10 participants test out our mid-fi and they were able to give us crucial feedback. We found that while our app was mostly intuitive and easy to use there were minor issues. The participants brought up their confusion with our book ranking system in the onboarding flow, labels for items, as well as the progress page for the app. Based on this feedback we were able to make the appropriate changes.
